About Us

The Harbor Springs Area Historical Society was founded in 1990 by a group of concerned citizens committed to preserving the history of the Harbor Springs area. Soon after its founding the society achieved 501(c)(3) status as a charitable and educational non-profit.

The society operates the Harbor Springs History Museum which features interactive exhibits for all ages. In addition to permanent and changing exhibits, the society hosts a variety of programs and events throughout the year including a monthly lecture series.
