Volunteers Needed For Tree Planting in Pellston Sept. 19

Hello! Apologies for the short notice, but the Village of Pellston recently received a tree planting grant from DTE and is looking for ~20 volunteers to assist with their tree planting event this Friday. Volunteers will be helping to plant 20 new trees within the Village to replace trees lost in the Village from the ice storm. The event begins at 8:45AM and will include a tree planting demonstration. Tree planting experts will be on site to assist volunteers. Volunteers can sign up directly through the Re-Leaf Michigan website: www.releafmichigan.org/rsvp 
 
Volunteers may also register on-site prior to the planting. This is a family-friendly event, though minors will need to have a parent/guardian sign a permission form.
